About Mark Liesner

Born in Houston, to German immigrant parents, Mark grew up in Munich Germany mostly. He left his home and family at 17 and moved back to Texas where he attended the University of Texas.

​

During his college years Mark, an accomplished European Go Kart racer, tried his hand at racing cars in the US. His success did not go unnoticed and soon he was offered to become a factory driver for BMW in Germany. Instead he took an offer to race F3 in Germany as a factory driver for the German subsidiary of GM. After a successful career that included a brief US stint in Indy Lights, Mark unfortunately did not have budget to continue to F1 or IndyCar.

Instead he moved to Dallas and embarked on a career in real estate sales. In his 17 years he built a successful real estate brokerage firm that he sold to Prudential in 2012. Since then he has been focused on building his mortgage brokerage.

​

Mark has two adult sons, both residing in Dallas. He loves to cook, travel, read, learn, and exercise.
